Dear fellows, dear football lovers,

Let’s be honest. Football has gone in a disgusting direction long ago, obviously defined by money, corruption and greed for power. And now? Should we boycott the sport we love? Difficult question, which we at Black Hawk don’t want to dare to answer. But there is one message we want to convey: Don’t let it divide you any further. Even if FIFA acts differently than it preaches, we can be better and believe us, we, the fans, are powerful. We are the ones who can send a message through our actions. We are not talking about boycotting the sport. That is up to you. We want to live values like solidarity, respect and tolerance and thus pave a way for betterment. Football can build bridges that go far beyond political, religious and cultural boundaries. We love the emotions and the feeling of connectedness. Fuck the officials who stuff their pockets with money. Fuck the corrupt FIFA. We see the stadium buildings worth billions, the people who gave their lives for it, the oppression of women, sexuality and migrants, the exploitation of labor and the massive human rights violations. We keep our distance from an absolute monarchy and stand up for human rights. We criticize and make use of our freedom of expression. We love who and what we want and show this publicly. We do not look away! Let’s stick together and influence what is within our scope of action. Everybody can make a difference, but let’s not split even further. Whether you boycott the World Cup or not. Have respect for the decision of others. Let the people watch who love football as a sport. Let the players play the football games they have worked a lifetime for. Show strength through cohesion and stop pointing fingers at each other. We are one world! Unity is Strength.
